LOOKING FOR A STRONG GUILD?
When you want to know what a "Strong Guild" is... look no further than SOA. And, that should tell you all you need to know. Many guilds have come and gone on our server and we're still here as we recognize the need to change, grow, and evolve. We're constantly looking for quality players who fit in with our "philosophy of play" and who are looking for a "place" where they can fit and help progress.
Now, in terms of members, what is that we need right now? Not a thing really. We love playing the game with one another and sharing new experiences and content. We're highly social and some of us talk to the wee hours of the morning on vent. What could be better?
For those of you who would like to give our guild a try here's some key info: We are a "family" that likes playing WoW. We have fun. We play nice. We know our toons and what they can do and continually look to improve our performance. We know how to fight smart and we work to complement one another while in group to achieve a fun and successful outcome. We are selective of who can join and not everyone can.
But...sometimes...it's better to talk about what we are NOT looking for rather than what we are:
While we enjoy getting the best gear we can and improving our skills, we are NOT looking for players who obsess over gear, instancing, power levelling, and "PHAT LOOTZ".
While we enjoy kidding around and "razzing" one another, we DO NOT TOLERATE: Demeaning trash talking Excessive "colorful metaphors" (swearing, cursing) Bias attitudes or comments in any form (Religion, Racial, Ethnic, Gender, etc.) Immature behavior Pushiness Players with a "me-me-me" attitude and agenda
Our guild is an extremely helpful and friendly guild, and while we enjoy grouping and assisting guild-mates and friends, we also expect each person to be able to accomplish many things on their own (such as reputation increasing, leveling, etc.). In fact, quite honestly, a below 80 toon should not expect much assistance from guildies until they reach their mid-70's.
We are a guild that shares with one another so we are NOT looking for someone that "needs" on stuff they don't need, doesn't offer assistance to other guildies or contribute to guild banks stuff that they don't need or don't need the money for, and takes help but doesn't offer any.
Lastly, we are respectful of one another and are NOT looking for someone who criticizes, rags on, or makes otherwise demeaning comments about the way another guildie plays -- or for that matter, any other player. Rather, we recognize that we've all been noobs at one time or another and that it's our "job" as a fellow guildie to help one another be a better and smarter player.
With all of these "NOTS", the main thing you can take away should be that we are not hardcore. We look to minimize the drama that we experience in Real Life and that we see in other guilds by being a "casual-semi-raiding" guild that plays the game to enjoy the content and each others' company.
So, if you're having a hard time finding a sharing, smart guild that likes to have fun, truly enjoys and respects one another, and that will be around for a long time to come; look no further. Send a message to us on this site via the Audition Room, or contact us in-game.
Guild Leader: Twykletoez Lieutenant: Xorian Officers: Jibboo, Caledo, Ochane, Thejuice
Good luck to you in your adventures on Azeroth and thank you for your time.
Follow our melody of growth from the simple overture of pain to our thundering crescendo of suffering.
Our current touring and performing times are usually 9:30 PM server time (Tanaris Server; East Coast, USA) through about 1:00 AM server time, Mon-Thurs.
If you're interested in auditioning for a chair in our symphony, do not hesitate to contact our Grand Maestro Twykletoez, or his 1st chairs ( Xorian, Ochane, Caledonia, Thejuice, & Shamanshah) -- and fill out an application in our Audition Room!

First, tonight's push includes a new selection under the "In Beta" area of the Control Panel, which allows you to provide your own custom HTML for the body of all pages on your site. Next, we've addressed some bugs that have been reported concerning the editor (sorry folks, looks like we were wrong about it being a cookies issue). Info sections have also had a bug fixed.

The new chat room is finally fully operational and we believe most of the quirky behavior some are seeing in the new editor control are related to old cookies. Try clearing those out (especially in FireFox -- grrr) and if you still have trouble, let us know via support ticket, please.

Lord of the Rings Online guilds will notice a few new features that went along with the editor push tonight. Namely, guild rosters now load directly from Turbine's servers, and the editor (when posting) has a "One Ring" icon that, when clicked, helps you add links to LOTRO-related goodies. The roster will load from Turbine's servers only if there is an exact match for your guild name and the server you selected when you started the guild. If either are incorrect, they can be modified in the Control Panel under Guild Name and Server. LOTRO Integration can be disabled/re-enabled in the Control Panel as well, under LOTRO Integration.

We will be deploying the latest version of the WYSIWYG editor later today. It will resolve issues with IE 8, and has a few neat things that we can do with it, moving forward. We are testing it in the latest versions of all browsers, and also ensuring compatibility with a version back, where feasible. For some browsers with rapid release schedules (like Firefox), please ensure you have auto-updates configured.

Also, for those not getting any results when using the GPHelper add-on for WoW when they type /gph update in-game, grab the latest from www.guildportal.com/GPHelper. Pushed this morning, it updates its version number to what WoW expects.

Enhancements going live this morning: around 40 new custom forum emoticons available for you to set in your Control Panel (under Custom Images : Emoticons). Also, clicking on an event from the monthly calendar view will take you directly to the event you selected, instead of displaying all events on that day. Of course, some probably liked seeing all of the events for the day, so what we've done to compensate was put a list of all events for that day to the right, above the two small selection calendars you see when viewing an event. It's got an animated opening -- you can't miss it. =)

Updates: Topics with more than 20 pages of replies were disallowing further replies. Fixed. A problem with the GPHelper.lua add-on for WoW has been fixed, be sure to get latest. Clicking the Edit button under an Alliances content type now loads the correct editor. In some cases, the Edit button under Image Gallery types wouldn't show up. Fixed.
